Thursday Sept 7th
Litchfield, Illinois
Free continental breakfast at the hotel, some hot coffee and we're the first ones through the
door at Niehaus Cycle @ 9:00am.
In what are the first of our mistakes of the trip.
Greg leaves his deodorant at the hotel and I leave a newly paid for can of Plexas on the
cycle shop counter.
We blamed Dinger for that the rest of the trip.

After the bike shop visit. We head south on Hwy 127,
boring road that
turned into a good twisty ride south of Pinckneyvile, I'll. At Jonesboro,
Mo we head west and get back on
I-43 into Memphis. Taking a second look at the map we find downtown and select the Holiday Inn for our stay, 350 miles exactly ends the ride for the day. First on our list after checking in was a cocktail! Crown and diet cokes for all. What's the chances the bartender was from Wisconsin? ... Good and yes she was. |

BB King's Bar |

Greg: "Dinger you can't get on the bar at Coyote Ugly's!" | |||
Hell I cant! (Check out the gal behind the bar yelling NO!!!) |
Hell you cant! I think you could have taken him if you hadn't been drinking. |

Beale St. should be a stop for anyone staying in the area. Great music, lots of bars and plenty of street vendors to help spend your money. Although Greg was scared to get that air brushed tattoo. There are large bars like BB King's and Coyote Ugly's and there are some small 30 seat bars with live music if you didn't like the crowds. We had a good time not to mention the walk after being on the bikes all day was good. |
